The Bed-Time Twins
This is what we have to (get to?) deal with at bed time. Partners in crime. Crawling all over each other, smothering each other, kissing and hugging each other. Belly laughs. All while we are trying to "calm down" before bed. We're trying to say prayers, talk about the day, and speak words of life to each boy. Needless to say, it's an adventure. And Mason really needs a haircut.

Luckiest Lady on Earth
Look at this family. I mean really. Does life get any better? Pure joy.
Side note - they sure have nice teeth, don't they?

Blue Moccasins
Wednesdays are just plain chaos. They start off all nice and relaxing, then somehow by the end of the day all the wheels fall off. Of course they are fun, fruitful, life-changing... just wheel-less.
SO, this particular Wednesday I was running behind (gasp, I know). I was trying to feed the children dinner, (which they maybe ate a quarter of), grab all the important things from the house I'd promised not to forget, stock the diaper bag, load everyone into the rocket-ship (minivan), find my phone, make sure I have the church keys, brush my teeth (possibly for the first time of the day) - and get to church in time to get the babies to their classes and still get to the Youth service in time to hug some necks.
As I get to church and start unloading the boys, I realize Marshal has on no shoes or socks. Barefoot. Perfect. At this point there are NO minutes to go home, so I carry my Mason to nursery and my cute- bare -legged Marshal to Kingdom Kids. I ask our children's pastor, with slight embarrassment, if it's okay if my son participate tonight barefoot. Of course she did, she's sweet like that. I joked that I didn't see a "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service" sign anywhere... haha, I'm so funny I know.
FAST FORWARD to the end of services. I go to pick up my happy boy - and alas! He's wearing shoes! Now - I don't know if I can fully describe how funny the situation was, or if the picture gives it justice. BUT - my little son was donned in blue, suede, at least 4 sizes too big, zip up, girl's moccasins. Fringe included. Stuffed with paper towels to keep them on his dirty feet. The details of where these beauties came from are still a little vague. But as I'm DYING laughing at my own inabililty to bring my child in shoes, IN ADDITION to the blue suede substitutes, Marshal is grinning from ear to ear saying "Mama! Look at my shoes!" And as they are falling off as he runs, he stops - bends down, puts the paper towels back in, and says, "I love them!"
Oh am I the worst mom ever? No. At least I didn't forget any children. Yet.

The Time-Out Twins
Not a high-quality picture, definitely. But I wanted to remember how much my little boys love each other. Without fail, when one gets sent to time-out (in the infamous corner), it takes all of half a second before the other one sneaks over and sits with his brother. EVEN if that punished brother is BEING punished for smacking/kicking/biting/scratching/yelling/bumping the other. Do I allow this time-out company? No. The non-offender is removed from the corner promptly. Do I hide my smile? Yes. The whole way.

Mason Update
Mason! He has been changing so much over the last few months. Jalon calls him a "Spice Ball" and Jalon's Nana says he's just like Jalon. Spicy is an understatement. He has a mind and will of his own. And he likes to tell you about it. He gets irritated - easily. He likes to be held. Another understatement. He is happiest on a hip. Except for with daddy. With daddy he likes to snuggle chest to chest, Maso's face buried in Jalon's neck.
Vocabulary as of late:
Mama
Dada
Papa
'Gin (Again)
Down
Me (He actually says this whenever he wants to be picked up - or really whenever he wants anything...)
Ball
No (he shakes his head and whole body)
Ya, ya, ya!
Ca (Cat)
Meow
Ewello (Hello)
Hi
Bye
Maso LOVES:
To be held
To eat, eat, and eat some more - everything. Hence his great big belly.
Balls
Baths. Specifically splashing and pinching his brother.
Running and squealing.
MasoLOVES:
Being put down.
Being put down.
Being put down in the nursery.
Being put down in our very own home.
Being put down.
We love you sweet Little Blue M.
Even as I'm typing with you on my lap because you won't let me put you down.

M #3!!!
It has been too long since my last post! So much is developing... literally!
February 25th we found out we are having another M! We are expecting our third sweet joy the beginning of November. We are so excited, and it seems like the excitement is just as raw as when we found out we were pregnant the first and second times! What a miracle! Once again, on the DAY my period was due (a Saturday) - I couldn't wait to take a test. I couldn't even wait until Monday, when I could take a test at my office. So we went to Walgreens and bought a generic. Came home to our rental master bath. Daddy was laying on the bed (I'm sure watching ESPN, although that would just be a guess), and I peed away! I didn't really have to pee, which proved to be difficult to successfully take a home pregnancy test. I ended up using both in the box, this time not because I couldn't believe the results, but because I couldn't pee the first time to make any results! Ha!
ANYWAY - yes, the second test came back with two stripes. We decided we were going to wait to tell our friends and family - and that plan lasted all of about an hour. We actually ended up announcing it at the vision banquet at church the next day.
We are so thrilled. I'm 11 weeks pregnant now, and things are going so great. We've gotten multiple ultrasounds already and I love looking at my sweet little baby. I am nauseous all day most days, but I've only PUKED TWICE! This is so different from my other two pregnancies, where I was yacking all day most days. Does this mean it's a girl??? We'll see!
We love you sweet M#3. You grow big and healthy and strong. You mean the world to us.
